Wishlist

Wishes can be secret, personal, and intimate. They can also be intimidating and overwhelming. You likely have a wishlist… things you would like to do in this world but presenting as a gender that is different from the one you were assigned at birth.

I have a wishlist. And for every wish that comes true, I cross it off and I write a new one. With a pink sparkly pen, of course.

When I accepted and ultimately embraced my gender identity, the world opened up to me in a way that it never did before. Everything seemed new, every errand seemed like an adventure. Things I did presenting as masculine were everyday tasks I did without a second thought… without fear but without fun.

My body literally vibrated with giddiness and fear the first time Hannah stepped tentatively into the real world. The nervous baby steps grew into confident strides, transformed partially by the forward momentum a stiletto requires. The giant, scary adventure I was embarking on? Getting a coffee.

But I did it.

And it was amazing and boring at the same time. Monumental and anti-climatic.

Like every journey, being comfortable in the world begins with a small first step, and getting coffee that morning was mine. After I returned home I was bursting with ambition. If I had the courage to get a coffee, what else could I do? The world seemingly held infinite possibilities. It still does. I wanted to do everything. My own wishlist was starting to form.

I wanted this for others. I knew how terrified I was and I knew how liberating I felt when I plucked up the courage to leave the house, to get a coffee, to try on dresses at the mall…

Over time I made friends with others like myself and I am always inspired by the wishes they have, and the wishes they make come true. I want to see more of this. But more importantly, I want to help.

And so, Wishlist was born.

I am thrilled to announce that I am partnering with The Breast Form Store for a new webseries. The Breast Form Store has been dedicated exclusively to the transgender, crossdressing, and gender expressive communities since 1993 and I am excited to work with them on this really fun project.

Wishlist will chronicle the wish fulfillment of gender non-conforming people and will show people like ourselves getting their first makeover, schedule a wig fitting, try on beautiful gowns at the mall, or just getting a coffee. Afterall, a wish doesn’t have to be big for it to be significant.

Do you have a wish? Do you want to see it come true? I want to hear from you. I want to help you. Want a makeover? Let’s schedule an appointment. Want a photo shoot? I know amazing photographers. Want to go shopping? See a movie en femme? Play minigolf in a miniskirt? Get a bra fitting? Take a burlesque class? Take a candle making class? Have a drink at a LGBTQ+ nightclub? Get your nails done? Play tennis in a cute pleated skirt? Wear princess dresses and drive go-karts? Let’s a-go!

And these steps? We will take them together.

These new adventures will be filmed and edited into short, documentary-type videos. Interview segments with the wisher or a makeup artist or whoever is helping make your wish come true.

Video?? Yes.

This series is meant to be fun, and to inspire and encourage not only the wisher, but also others like ourselves who struggle to find the courage to make their dreams come true, whether you want to hear the click of your heels at a museum, look for a cute dress at a thrift shop, or just spend the afternoon as yourself.

Wishlist is filmed in the Twin Cities (in Minnesota) and the surrounding areas. It’s where I live and it’s the area I am most familiar with when it comes to places to go.

Please note that although I will do my best to help fulfill your wish, I am not able to help with expenses. If you live out of town and would like to visit the Minneapolis/Saint Paul area, I am afraid I can’t assist with travel costs. If your wish is to get a makeover, book a photo shoot, or strut around the mall picking out dresses for your soon to be expanding wardrobe, please be prepared for these expenses. Wishlist exists to offer friendship, support, encouragement, and fun.

I hope it goes without saying that sexual wishes will not be considered. You may have a dream of being intimate with someone but I can’t help with those fantasies. I understand that for some this is arousing or a fetish, and I promise I am not kinkshaming anyone, but Wishlist isn’t that.

Regarding the video aspect of Wishlist, I understand that not everyone is comfortable with being filmed/photographed for the internet. Please take this into consideration before reaching out. Today, the dream of getting your first makeover might sound amazing, but remember, the camera will be rolling as the makeup artist blends your foundation. It’s easy to make quick decisions without thinking things through. Beware the Pink Fog. These videos will take a lot of time and energy to produce and edit so changing your mind halfway filming through isn’t ideal and once something is on the internet, it’s there forever.

I want to acknowledge that a lot of this seems scary but there are so many aspects of living authentically that require stepping out of your comfort zone. You may be nervous, but I’ll be there with you.

Your privacy and comfort is important. If you do not want to be filmed in male mode, no problem (I wouldn’t want that either, lol). You decide what is filmed. You will be asked for permission before we hit ‘record’ each time. This series is not meant to unintentionally out anyone, but remember, these videos are meant to be seen.

Additionally, since The Breast Form Store is headquartered in Canada, we will also adhere to Canadian consent/release laws. There will be a consent form that guests will be required to sign. This consent form will be provided to guests before filming for review and in the interest of transparency, you will be asked to show your government issued ID before we film, but this will not be kept on file.

Please understand that any sensitive information that is provided will be kept confidential and will be treated with extreme privacy. I understand the need many of us have when it comes to our legal/male names and I am right there with you. I know this is a lot to ask but I hope that you can trust me. Although I am comfortable with being online and in public, I do not want my legal name known either. I will guard your personal information with the same diligence that I protect my own.
