It ain’t easy being open and honest, but I think it gets easier. What might feel like something insurmountable can be worked through. It may well take a bit of time, baby steps, and/or comprising (but all parties), but isn’t it worth trying? I did hide things for all the reasons you said in the other post. That was twenty years or so ago and things are so much better now.
