Living the Supermodel Dream

This weekend I lived the supermodel dream when I visited the talented photographer and amazing human being, Alison Malone of Malone Portraits.

Alison has a studio in northeast Minneapolis and I was honored when I was invited to contribute to her portfolio, specifically boudoir shots celebrating gender nonconforming people. She didn’t have to ask twice.

When I collaborate with others I really want to hear what they have in mind and what they enjoy doing. For this shoot, Alison wanted to emphasize a few different looks with a few different textures. We talked about capturing everything from sensuality to power to the softness of lingerie to the boldness of latex.

I had so much fun putting together the outfits for the day. Much of what I wore was very much outside of my normal looks and I felt a little self-conscious but Alison made me feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful.

We turned up the music and spent Saturday afternoon listening to Tori Amos and Ani DiFranco and the click of stilettos on hardwood floors. It was amazing.

I can’t wait to see how the pictures turn out but here’s a few of the outfits I strutted in.

If you want to feel like a supermodel as well, I cannot recommend Alison and her AMAZING studio more. You can book your own session on her website.

Thank you to Alison for helping me feel beautiful and powerful.

Love, Hannah

  1. Looks like you were enjoying yourself with new props to model. Choosing what to wear is half the fun with the devil in the details. Enjoyed your Saturday foray.
