Pride and Storms

Pride weekend has come and gone for another year. As always, it was lovely to be out in the community and to meet so many people. I was excited about Pride but I have to admit I was a little off, a little tired. I started off strong…

…but as the day progressed my energy level plummeted. I am not sure why.

However, Pride is energizing and it’s hard not to be inspired and emboldened when one is around so much love and joy.

The T-Girls and I set up a very pink booth…

…but strong winds caused the tent and decorations to deteriorate throughout the day. The nail in the coffin for our booth was the storm that blew through Saturday evening. Our tent was destroyed and our little flyers and give-aways were ruined by mud and water. It was a little disheartening.

I would like to thank all the MN T-Girls who helped make the weekend a success. Their enthusiasm and passion for our community and our group was contagious and I am so proud to know these wonderful girls.

If you came by this weekend, thank you! I hope you consider joining the group.

Love, Hannah

  1. Oh, that’s a shame. It’s always disheartening when weather spoils a much anticipated event. But you will have done good and been visible and that’s priceless. Thank you.
Maybe they’re called flyers because of the way the wind treats them!

  2. It was lovely to meet you, Hannah! We meant to come back by and visit a bit more, but the weather forecast spooked us and we left earlier than we’d originally planned.
