Ask Hannah!

Are you presently taking any hormonal meds and if so, what advice do you have for gurls experiencing breast budding.

Hi!

No I am not. And the only advice I will ever give in regards to hormones or supplements is to talk with your doctor and never ever take anything that hasn’t been prescribed to you by your doctor. Ordering pills online will likely be a scam or harmful.

I don’t mean to be such a wet blanket but I’ve read waaaay too many horror stories about girls taking pills that caused damage to their body and internal organs.

Love, Hannah

Have a question for me?  Oh yes you do.  Ask me here!

  1. I went through a period where my desire to be a woman went off the charts so I bought some online. I was scammed twice by people, I was very naive. On the third attempt I asked a lot of questions and I succeeded. They came from Romania. After one week I could feel my breasts and they felt amazing. What I notice is a sense of calmness that comes over me and I am much more focused.
I have gone off of them from time to time because I am concerned of side effects too. I am feeling bloated lately and I am wondering if that is a side effect. I end up going back on them because of my intense feminine desires though and they do settle my head down. I think my brain needs E.

    1. That’s another thing, but I didn’t mention it since it was a bit off-topic to the OP. The day I started HRT a huge weight lifted off me. A week or two later, the first thing I noticed in terms of changes was my thinking and vision. Both were clearer. My mind was less foggy, and I was seeing a wider range of colors and textures. I hadn’t expected anything like that. And it was a sign to me that I was finally running on the right hormone “fuel”.

  2. I’ll assume that you are on prescribed HRT, as Hannah recommends (and I do as well). I’ll also add that this is something that you don’t want to play around with, or try to get breasts if you are not on an established transition route (therapy, etc).

In terms of breast budding, as with all things HRT, Your Mileage My Vary. In my experience, the first thing I noticed was that door-frames and other things start jumping out at you. 🙂 And it is tender to bump into them. That can subside a bit over time, but living with breasts means living with sensitive items sticking out from your body. I found wearing a bra with a little bit of padding (like a T-shirt bra) helped a lot during that phase when they were more sensitive.

Also in my case, the sensitivity came first, followed by sllloooow growth (remember, puberty for CIS woman takes years). The last thing that is even taking longer is nipple and areola growth. But again, YMMV.
