Hey! I’m a Twin Cities girl in the market for breast forms. Are there any places I can try them on in person? I’m nervous to make the investment from an online shop without having been able to try them for fit.
Hi!
I hesitate to say that quality breast forms are expensive, but I feel using the word “investment”, as you have, is completely accurate. I cannot imagine strutting into the world without them.
The only store in the Twin Cities that I think MIGHT have forms is The Smitten Kitten, in the Uptown neighborhood of Minneapolis. Absolutely drop them a line to see if they carry them. Their website doesn’t have them available, however I did an event with them and they did have some for sale.
If online is your only option, I recommend The Breast Form Store. They have amazing high quality options and some of their products are eligible for returns and/or exchanges.
I hope that helps!
Love, Hannah
Have a question for me? Oh yes you do. Ask me here!
HI Hannah,
I went to Heide’s Mastectomy shop back in the 90’s. They were very helpful. I suspect they have gotten much more comfortable with transgender folks since then.
here is their website: https://www.shopheides.com/
Good luck,
Jodi

When I started seriously thinking about actually leaving the house, forms were something I told myself I absolutely 100% must have. I couldn’t see myself without them. Almost like they were a piece of armor I had to wear into battle. But after a few years they started to feel unnecessary. Still good, of course. But like an extra fun accessory that I always put on out of habit. Last weekend I went out and, for whatever reason, didn’t even think about them. And I didn’t miss them at all. I’m not sure what my takeaway is from that… but whatever. I guess I’m discovering that I don’t *need* forms to feel feminine. And that’s a nice recent change for me.
