Pillow Talk!

Hi!

I have a new article for Pillow Talk, a new series I am doing with Xdress!

This is going to sound shallow, but hear me out: Shopping is important.

If we feel our gender identity conflicts with the gender we were assigned at birth, then we likely feel we need to modify our presentation.

I was assigned male at birth, so the nurses wrapped me in a blue blanket (I mean, I assume so, I don’t remember). I was dressed in boy clothes and was expected to wear boy clothes every single day. This was likely the same experience many of you reading this had.

But if we want to present in a way that reflects our gender identity, then we will likely need to expand our wardrobe. We do this by shopping.

Knowing WHERE to shop and knowing HOW to shop takes a little practice and some guidance. I hope this article is helpful to those starting out.

Love, Hannah

  1. The Xdress collection is such eye candy for the imagination. Even for the most closeted cross dressers the possibilities are endless. The commentary on shopping you offer are challenging. Trying on ready to wear in a retail store would fry my nerves, and yet your ability to do so is encouraging. Enjoy your moxie.
