Always Learning, Always Fabulous

This past Saturday was the monthly adventure for the MN T-Girls!

Yes, they are no longer events, they are ADVENTURES.

Or field trips. That works too, especially when we learn something.

I heart museums and about once a year or so we visit the Minneapolis Institute of Art, one my favorite places in the world. But until a few months ago, I had never heard of the American Swedish Institute. I had no idea what this place was, but their website says The American Swedish Institute is a museum, a cultural education center, a café, a destination store, a historic mansion, and more.

I like museums, and based on our adventures/field trips in the past, they have always been welcoming places for our group. I also like historical mansions, such as the James J. Hill House where we visited earlier in the year.

Anyway, this place is AMAZING. It’s more of a mansion than a museum. Although there is art in the mansion, the real thrill was seeing this beautiful home.

I mean, LOOK at this picture.

Goodness, what a living room. Well, it might be a living room. I am not sure what a room like this is even called.

The entire mansion is like this. It was easy to get lost (this is easy for me no matter where I am) but that was part of the charm.

The tour guides, the baristas in the cafe, the front desk staff, the other patrons, couldn’t have been nicer or more welcoming to our group.

It was an absolutely lovely afternoon.

And can I just say how much I love this group? I have met so many wonderful friends and have experienced so many amazing things.

Love, Hannah
