Grinkie T-Girl

Hi!

Last Saturday I visited Grinkie Photograpy for my third photo shoot with the incredibly talented and charasmatic Christi Williams.

Photo shoots are a LOT of things. They are empowering, fun, intimidating, humbling, and overwhelming. Even after a decade of these things, I still feel a little self conscious and I never know what to do with my arms, eyes, legs, head, feet, and my butt lol (yes, sometimes your booty needs to be pointed in a specific direction or something).

Whenever I see Christi’s work I feel, well, inadequate. I mean, her photography is unreal, her studio is a dream, and the models she works with are stunning. Doubt sets in. I mean, why on earth do I feel like I could possibly be a part of that? I am probably better off taking selfies in my bathroom lol.

But here’s the thing. Christi makes EVERYONE feel like the most sublime girl in the world. No matter what my head is telling me, Christi manages to speak to you in a way that pushes all those negative feelings and thoughts out of your body. She directs you when it comes to how you should sit, stand, and where to position your body (and yes, even your butt lol).

As much as I love seeing all the props and wardrobe her studio offers, my favorite part is seeing the other photos she has taken over the years. People with every body type you can think of, people with different gender identities… and everyone is beautiful.
