‘Twas the McKnight Blog Post Before Christmas

I work in education and our first term of the year begins in early January. Normally my team and I are scrambling to make sure all the ducks are in a row but we are not immune to the laziness and exhaustion that coincide with the December holidays.

Productivity has slammed to a halt. Which is stupid because this laziness will turn into sheer panic on January 2nd.

But that is a problem for next year, lol.

I have been pretty bored this past week. Even if I wasn’t feeling lazy, most of my team is on vacation so even if I wanted to get something done, I wouldn’t have much success. I’ll create reports and whatever and no one reads them. The end of year apathy is contagious and perhaps that’s justification for not being Employee Of The Year but I don’t care.

To keep me from taking a nap at my desk, I instead created (without AI) a couple holiday images. Feel free to send them to your friends and family, I guess?

I love these stupid little images, but I LOVE this card made by my friend Annabelle who has made some really amazing images over the last few years. She also runs a Forced Feminization site (not safe for work, y’all).

I hope everyone is having a peaceful and gentle holiday season. I know that this time of year can be very stressful, especially for the LGBTQ+ community. I don’t know who needs to hear this, but your worth is not based on what your transphobic relative thinks. I am not out to most of the people in my life but it’s not unusual for a certain family member to say something horrible about transgender people, even though they have no idea about my gender identity.

These comments sting but I bite my tongue.

I know many of you probably do the same thing. Maybe we shouldn’t but sometimes our feelings and the things we want to say are compromised with keeping the peace. As much as I want to say something to my ignorant brother-in-law, I know that it would cause a damaging rift between my wife and her sister.

Please find joy and some time for yourself in the coming days. I know it’s not much but (almost) everyone who reads this website is just like you. You are not alone in how you feel, how you think, and how you dress.

Love, Hannah
