This weekend was the monthly MN T-Girls event. This was a challenging one to plan as I try to finalize the event about two to three weeks in advance but at the end of January we here in the Twin Cities were in the early days of ICE agents destroying our community.
It was hard to guess what would be happening a few weeks in advance, and it was also impossible to guess what we would feel like doing.
But one thing was always consistent over the last few weeks. Togetherness. Supporting each other. Community.
I thought it might be a good idea for us to get together to just, well, be together. Chat, have coffee, you know, be together.

The best place for the queer community lately is Queermunity, a coffee shop/work space/resource center for LGBTQ+ folks. We visited Queermunity last year so it was nice to be back.
It was a small group, about six of us and it was exactly what we needed. It was impossible to not talk about, well, everything, but the conversation also diminished into debating whether or not a hot-air balloonist had to have a license.
It was a nice day and I am reminded how lucky we are to have a place for us, and for us to have each other.
Love, Hannah
