Shine Like the Sun

Whenever I slip into a yellow dress, I wonder why I don’t wear the color more often.

I remember years ago that yellow was absolutely the last color I could ever imagine wearing. I mean, it’s BRIGHT and eye-catching. When I started to expand my wardrobe beyond lingerie I tended to wear black as it was a very forgiving color and it was easier to blend in when I very quietly and carefully ventured out into the real world en femme.

I lack many things, but confidence is not one of them (usually). I don’t try to blend in. Or, perhaps to put it more accurately, I don’t pass on something that I want to wear because I am trying to avoid being noticed. I am going to stand out regardless (hello, six foot tall t-girl here) so I may as well wear whatever I please.

I found this dress in a thrift shop and I love love love it. It was the first outfit I wore for my most recent photo shoot and I heart these pictures. I hope you do as well.

Love, Hannah

  1. good morning Hannah

I agree with you 100% about bringing more color into our wardrobes. I recently picked up a “Big Floral ” skirt and blouse outfit that I just love wearing during the summer time

The only thing I disagree with you about is your shoulders. I love strong women, strong in regards, and your shoulders are….sexy

  2. Very nice and summery. I have too many darker shades of clothes. It’s amazing how the colors of everything you wear put you into another mood, from clothes to nail polish and eye shadow.
    You are beautiful 😍

  3. The yellow dress on you is so attractive. The summer look with no hosiery and open toe shoes is so feminine that is only topped by the short hem and curvy legs. Marvel at your confidence in presentation and enjoy your thoughts as well.

      1. Had to go back and see the picture again to realize my mistake in perception of hosiery. Enjoyed receiving your message as I have followed you for many years.

  4. Yellow is a great color for you! And no need to feel out of place as a tall girl. I have severally nieces who are between 5’10” and 6’1”. And they are gorgeous too:)
