This weekend was the monthly MN T-Girls event. After a very hectic first half of summer, we thought it would be nice to relax over coffee and delicious snacks at Patisserie 46, a cafe/bakery in South Minneapolis.
So, that is exactly what we did.
This was our first event after Pride and although the group usually welcomes a few new members after they find our booth, this year saw a big increase in members as a result of being there. I like that. It’s reassuring to know a group like ours is what other t-girls are looking for.
Saturday was one of the biggest events in recent months. I think meeting for coffee was a perfect way for many of the new members to meet new friends and for many of us to catch up. We sat outside on the patio chatting and watching the little birds hop around looking for pastry crumbs.
It was really nice.
All in all there were about fifteen of us(!) but we sadly had to wrap things up as the rain started. I wish I could have taken pictures of us (we all looked *amazing*) but the weather had other plans.
However! We did get one photo. As we started to gather, a very nice lady walked by and said we looked beautiful. And she was right, lol. She offered to take our picture and we gladly accepted.
It was so kind of her to do this. To her it was a simple gesture but to me, it’s a reminder that most of the world loves and accepts girls like us.
Running the group is a lot of work but after moments like this, it’s a reminder of how fulfilling it is. I think of all the things I’ve done, and will ever do, the MN T-Girls will probably be the most significant and impactful thing I’ll ever do for others. And myself.

Hi! Almost all of our events are on Saturdays since it’s the day most of the members are available.

Hi Hannah, Sure looks like you had a nice fun day. Sure wish I might have known about your group when I was working and traveling into MN and MPLS a LOT as I am sure we would have met and had some good times. If my memory serves me right I used to go to a couple of places along Hennepin Street and meet new folks who became good friends over time and we would often meet togo out even as a date for one for the other. So much fun being treated like a lady and enjoying the company of others. Thanks for your posts. All the outfits on you ladies look fantastic. Hugs, Lisa

Some girls like to buy new shoes, and others like driving trucks and wearing tattoos. There’s only one thing that they all like a bunch. Oh girls, they want to have lunch. Oh girls just want to have lunch!
Its kind of embarrassing how often I find myself singing that song. Anyway, I had a lovely time out with everyone! Looking forward to next month!
