Ask Hannah!

We love everything feminine, EVERYTHING, makeup, clothes, shoes oh! do we love shoes, but as much as we love all that, even the discomfort or pain that might come with some of them, what’s that one thing you just can’t stand, you find frustrating or wish it would be less painful or less uncomfortable?

My thinking is that if something hurts, whether it’s a corset or a stiletto, it’s your body’s way of saying DON’T WEAR IT.

If it hurts, it’s probably the wrong size (like a shoe) or you’re wearing it wrong (like a corset).

We are who we are because we have listened to our hearts, but we should wear what we wear because we listen to our body.

Love, Hannah

  1. But there is the old saying “If the shoe fits, it must be ugly”.

I must confess I do have a few shoes I love so much I will be put up with a bit of pain when wearing them.

  2. Exactly! A stiletto that fits is more comfortable than a block heel that DOESN’T, though a higher heel will exacerbate a bad fit. Shoes, more than anything else, must fit right. Always remember, women’s sizes vary far more than men’s – you can have 10,11, and 12s in your closet, and all are the right size. Don’t say “I’m an 11” and assume it is always true.

  3. With all of the low cost/poor quality footwear that is made, it is never worth it to me to purchase a pair of shoes that will not last or create discomfort. Foot pain can lead to serious injuries. It can take months to recover from plantar fasciitis which is painful. I have found the Naturalizer line to be very comfortable and affordable. Comfort will also improve one’s ability to learn to walk in heels
