Shop Smart, Shop H-Mart

I LOVE LOGOS.

I love how a good logo can capture one’s attention AND curiosity AND it just WORKS for whatever the product or business or whatever it is.

I think a logo has a lot of work to do and knowing what they need to accomplish, I can’t imagine how difficult it must be to design one. Like most things, the best people (such as graphic designers) make this look effortless.

Mind you I said LOOK effortless, I know that a lot of hard work, training, time, and inspiration goes into anything creative.

My friend Blanca has lent her talent to my website in the past and she has blessed this site once again with her creativity. This time she designed a few logos that I have to show you.

Love these. Love these SO much. Deceptively simple, bold, and clean.

Anyway, it’s a shame when talented people don’t have an audience, and it’s a shame when they’re work isn’t shared. I couldn’t help but think that these logos would look amazing on a coffee mug or something.

Blanca wasted no time creating some mock merchandise.

These images just reinforced my thinking that yes, these images would indeed look good on a coffee mug or something.

Buuuuut I sat on these logos for a few weeks because although I SEEM to have a healthy self-esteem and a feeling of self-importance and an ego that is, well, let’s call that healthy as well, I also felt a little silly at the idea of having merchandise. It’s not like I’m a motivational speaker doing seminars or a singer with a merch table.

Blanca gave me a gentle nudge to throw the idea out there to see if there was any interest. I mean, it can’t hurt, right?

So, would anyone be interested in a mug with my mug on it? Would anyone want an official Hannah McKnight t-shirt?

Thank you to Blanca for these amazing logos.

Love, Hannah

  1. OK first of all this is all VERY awesome. Second of all, if you sold t-shirts I would TOTALLY buy one as would, I’m sure, several of the people here!

  2. If you decide to do it, I would set it up with one of those online print-on-demand services. You’d earn less on each sale, but then you’re also not paying for inventory up front or dealing with shipping when orders come in. You also don’t want to end up with boxes of smalls and 3XL’s that no one wanted sitting in your basement for 10 years. I speak from experience.

  3. Yay!!! Hannah-Mart is officially open. I love it (am I even allowed to say that?) You have my support 100% Let’s get some Hannah Merch. You might not be a singer but you sure are a motivation for a lot of us. An adviser, an advocate a friend and a great human being, now isn’t that enough? (How about that to feed your healthy ego a little? lol 😉
