The crazy and busy summer struts on. I have a lot of travel this summer so it make take a little longer for your comment to be approved (or mocked, lol)
I am traveling at the moment (so this post was scheduled in advance) and unfortunately the MN T-Girls will not be at this year’s Twin Cities Pride. This will be the first year (besides when the festival was canceled for COVID) that we will not be there as a group. So, that feels a little weird.
My work travel isn’t the only reason, though. It is a big part of it as I think it’s unfair if I am not there to help manage things. Of course, the group is wonderful and perfectly capable of running things without me, but I feel it’s my responsibility to take on such a big event.
Another reason is that Twin Cities Pride is a LOT of work! It’s a fun weekend but if you’ve ever attended the festival you know how massive it is.
We’ve been thinking about going to other, smaller Pride festivals around Minnesota as well. After all, we’re the MINNESOTA T-Girls, not just Twin Cities T-Girls. We may be at one in July and I’ll let you know if things work out.
