Hi Hannah. I want to wear a women’s bikini with a bandeau style top, and a thong bottom, but most of them have a small front that really doesn’t “contain” me. Is there something I need to look for in a suit that’s wide enough at the front but sexy and feminine?
Also, how do I measure for stockings? Thank you
Anything thong style isprobably going to have less material than anything that is, well, non-thong. If a bottom doesn’t fit, whether it’s a panty, bodysuit, or bathing suit, it’s probably because you need something with a wider gusset.
The gusset is the fabric between your legs, the part that connects the front to the back. The wider the gusset, the easier it is to tuck (if you are looking for a smooth front, that is).
Thongs that are designed for people without a penis are kind of hit or miss. Many of the thongs that I wear are designed for people with that anatomical characteristic so they usually have a wider gusset. So, think En Femme and Xdress. En Femme does sell swimwear and I did a video about their options two years ago. I can attest their bottoms are designed amazingly well.
But if you are looking for “girl” thongs, Soma Intimates and Katie and Laura and have AMAZING thongs that fit PERFECTLY.
I think you’ll have better luck with swimsuits that are designed for non-binary, femme identifying people. Tomboyx and Rubies both sell suits that might appeal to you.
As for stockings/tights/pantyhose/nylons, most options have a sizing chart on the back of the package (or on their website) with both weight and height graphs.
I don’t always fall into the recommended sizing because, well, I can’t. Looking at this chart there isn’t a size for me because I am too tall and not skinny enough. When this happens, I tend to go for a size for my weight as opposed to my height. This usually works out because nylons tend to be stretchy and give a little, but not always. Once I find a size and a brand that does work, I tend to stick with it.
