Why do you feel compelled to remove your nail polish in male mode? Is it a job issue? A partner issue? (Both I can understand.) I have been wearing polish 24/7 for over 5 years now. It took sometime to get use to looking at MY hands and seeing colorful fingernails. Now I just love it and can’t think why I didn’t do it earlier. You would be surprise how many men tell me they wish they could have nail polish too.
I heart nail polish but I very very very rarely wear it.

My wife has never batted an eye when I’ve had painted nails, but I don’t paint them out of respect for her. What I mean is that my wife knows a lot of people in the part of the city where we live. When I run out to the nearest grocery store or Target there is a fair chance I’ll bump into someone she knows. I do not want my wife to be known as the woman who is married to the guy who paints his nails.
Of course, there’s the possibility that the people she knows might not care at all, but it really only takes one person (I am thinking of a few in particular) that have nothing better to do but to cause drama and gossip.
Love, Hannah
Have a question for me? Oh yes you do. Ask me here!
Hi Hannah,
That is sad but true. I love having long French nails but only do it for special occasions. Like the writer mentioned, I am worried about the impact on my job and family.

As the authour of the question, I had only one push back and it was from my daughter for the reason you mention, afriad of what her friends might say. Then one day my Ex and her both liked one of the holographic colors I had on, borrow it and now buy the brand, ILNP. In fact she now talks to me about different colors.
I have a professional job where my fingers are on constant display. It took a lot of coindence to do it the first time (first year) but I don’t think of it throughtout the day. You need to act “natural”.
