Let’s Talk About Panties

I have a new article for The Breast Form Store

The title really says it all.

This post was a reaction to someone who said that I have gotten too serious and too boring when it comes to gender expression. This was from someone who has been following me over the years as I have written about my journey.

My website prior to this one really captured how I embraced this side of me and how much joy wearing what I wanted brought me. A lot of my earlier writings, in a way, celebrated clothes. The joy of a pleated skirt, the thrill of stilettos clicking happily on the sidewalk, the happiness of a matching bra and panty.

As time passes, it’s not unusual for these small moments to be lost in the everyday.

Although I still smile when I hear those first clicks on the pavement, I don’t write about the subtle joys as much as I used to. I suppose my thinking is that you’ve all heard this from me before.

But here’s the thing. Every day someone acknowledges this side of them for the first time. Hopefully we all get to a place where we can embrace who we are. I hope we all arrive at a point in our journey where we all can experience that clicking.

That joy.

That love.

I think it’s important that we shift our thinking and feelings from shame, guilt, and fear to happiness, confidence, and peace.

We shouldn’t stop celebrating these small moments, whether it’s perfecting eyeliner or fastening your bra for the first time.

Loving yourself, no matter what that means to you, should always be a priority. No matter how many years pass, or how many times I awkwardly clamber out of my car in five inch platform stilettos, being who I am in this beautiful and horrible and complicated world brings me more joy than I could possibly write about.

Love, Hannah

  1. So beautifully written, profound and helpful. I’ve followed your website for many years and always find it to be a safe, friendly, candid, informative and extremely supportive for our community. I really am interested in just about every aspect of crossdressing and gender issues/challenges. Oh and yes always love talking and reading about panties, although of course the most fun about them is just to wear them!
