Different Shades of Pink

Hi! I have a new article for The Breast Form Store

This is more or less a follow up to my last article for them. These two writings focus on identity and labels. And yes, I know I talk a lot about terminology but every once in a while I have a new thought about them and it’s probably the question I am asked the most about how someone should identify.

I’m hoping that these writings can help someone.

Love, Hannah

  1. your latest post at the Breastform Store touched on key words that I suppose most of US can relate to. The various labels that we learn can help us understand how we see ourselves and perhaps explain ourselves to others. I found myself apprehensive about terms like repression, progression, and transition. For sure, many of us repress our inclinations out of fear. In my case, I feared that giving in would lead inexorably to progression and inevitably to transition.

Of course, I eventually realized that for me, transition wasn’t mandatory. I could express both the male and female when and as I chose to fit into the larger context of my life.

Sure, in an ideal world, I would choose to transition, but my reality, I have chosen a compromise that seems to work.
