So, Pride is this upcoming weekend. I mean, Pride is allll of June and many cities have Pride celebrations outside of the month but Minneapolis will have their Pride festival beginning later this week. Minnesota Monthly has an article about the history of drag in the Twin Cities. I suppose the title of this blog entry kind of gave away what today's post is about. Although I am not a drag queen I am fascinated by how amazing some queens look. The makeup skill, the heels, and the clothes. … Continue reading Dragged Up Memories: A History of Twin Cities Drag
After two years of COVID, I am happy to announce that the MN T-Girls will be making an appearance at the Twin Cities Pride Festival! As of this writing the festival organizers haven't finalized their map as to where different booths will be placed, so please keep an eye on their website if you are … Continue reading MN T-Girls Return to Pride!
This past weekend the MN T-Girls visited the Minneapolis Institute of Art for a lovely afternoon of coffee, girl talk, and of course, art! Coffee! Girl talk! Looking cute! Is there a better way to spend a Saturday? No, there isn't. Yesterday was the monthly MN T-Girls event and after two back-to-back private shopping adventures it was time to slow down and catch up over coffee. Considering how stressful the last few years have been, having coffee at Creators … Continue reading Coffee with the Girls!
Okay, one more post about *THIS* and I'll lay off for a bit. Maybe. Despite what this looks like, this is not meant to be a Republican vs Democrat post, so please refrain from that type of rhetoric in the comments. Here are the facts: The "Don't Say Gay" legislation in Florida was proposed by … Continue reading It Can’t Happen Here
Yesterday the MN T-Girls had our monthly event and it was so much fun! We spent the afternoon at Creative Hair Design in Roseville, Minnesota. Creative Hair Design sells wigs, toppers, hair pieces, and hair extensions. The timing was perfect as I am waaaay overdue for a new 'do. We were treated to a private … Continue reading Cute and Creative!
