  1. Admittedly I’m somewhat new to coming out to those that are from my “boy-life”. Only 25 to 30 folks so far. But, not a one has asked about my sexuality in any way. I have also had nothing but positive experiences, with everyone stating how happy they are for me, and how honored they are that I would trust them with my truth. Again, this is early in the process for me, and they have all been good, long-time friends, and one relative. I had little to no doubt that they would be accepting. What has surprised me is that they all have known at least one other trans person before my coming out to them. I realize that this will not be the case for everyone on my contacts list, but it has been very refreshing to see and hear how well I’ve been accepted.

I don’t have a set of pre-thought-out answers, but I’m just honest with any questions that come up. I’m also taking time to tell my story as a way to give them background on both me and being trans. It seems to be working out well.

Note – I’m in the process of transitioning, and consider myself socially full-time now. I’m working at home for the foreseeable future, so work isn’t a question now, and I don’t see it being an issue when I do come out there…I’ll hardly be the first at the company, or even the 30th… I will be coming out to everyone at some point or another, in some way or another (all so far have been in person, again something that will change over time).
