You go girl! It took courage to “come out” as an autistic person. I’m so glad you did it. For one thing, it will help us all be aware of (one of) the “intersections” of diversity in people.
Dear Hannah it takes a lot of strength to be vulnerable in this troll filled, patriarchal, ableist, arena . Thank you for sharing your disability truth . 💝Shannonlee
Don’t worry about it. The message is the important thing. If you use your hands that much all the time it probably won’t change. However I suspect in settings where you are more comfortable it is more subdued. If so, as you become (hopefully) more comfortable in front of the camera the same will be the case.
Hannah, you are an inspiration in so many ways! So strong and so vulnerable at the same time. Thank you for sharing! As for your hands, I didn’t even notice until you brought it up! 💗
1. I talk with my hands a ton too, and…
2. I am so, so, so proud of you!!! As someone who has had to learn how to be vulnerable, I’m so proud of you for being vulnerable to us! I cherish that and will defend you for that. 💗💗💗💗
Thank you for sharing this with us.
As a man I have deliberately tried to suppress my hand movements, because “men” don’t wave their hands around when they talk. When I’m en femme, I feel free to be much more expressive with my hands and my voice too.
I’m very familiar with stimming, but it doesn’t come across that that’s what you’re doing.
Thank you for opening up a little more of yourself to all of us, and know that doing this video was probably a much bigger deal for you than for us. We love and appreciate you for who you are and what you do for the community, regardless of how you are put together. Thanks for being Hannah for us. ♥️
Even after all of the years I’ve known you, I would not have guessed. But, I’m also learning that there seems to be a higher than average number of folks on the spectrum in the trans community. And that the spectrum is very wide.
As for the hand movements, women are more expressive with their hands, don’t worry about it.
I talk with my hands all the time as well! Love all the work you do – you encourage me a lot.

Aren’t we all masking something from somebody? 🙂
More a case of I think we all have more in common than certain folk would prefer us to believe.
Thank you for speaking out about this and good luck with the filming.

Thanks for sharing that insight. Life throws each of us challenging.
I took the fidgeting and hand movements as an expression of nervousness. Which, of course, brought this to mind: https://youtu.be/YZtiDJqVYwk
